Being a stamped concrete contractor myself, I install a lot of stamped concrete patios, walkways, and pool decks.
I polled 100’s of other stamped concrete installers in the U.S. and asked them to tell me their most popular patterns.
Listed below are the top 9 stamped concrete patterns all these contractors said they use the most.
The pattern I used for this stamped concrete patio was Majestic Ashlar from Butterfield Colors.
I added Gull gray integral color to the mix, 1 bag per yard, and I used deep charcoal release powder.
That color combination is the one I use for a lot of different stamp patterns. It goes with just about everything!

You can use just about any stamp pattern for a concrete driveway.

If you want to learn how to stamp concrete from me, I have a training course that teaches you all the basics of learning how to stamp patios, decks, walkways and floors.
What I recommend if you’re thinking of buying a set of stamps is choose Ashlar Slate as your first set. It’s by far the most popular pattern of all the stamps.
For a second choice, I would suggest a seamless slate or seamless stone texture mat. You’re going to want to get at least 4 seamless mats of the texture you choose.
If you’re brand new to stamping concrete, then the seamless texture mats are the easiest to learn on.

animal stamped concrete patterns
When you add an animal foot print or paw print to your stamped concrete it gives the concrete character.
These animal patterns can be added to regular concrete finishes or included with a stamped pattern.
If you live in a rural area or “out in the woods” then having some foot track in your concrete would seem pretty normal.
